Chris Karpman at SunDevilSource.com reports that Herm Edwards participated in the alleged recruiting violations. This report comes despite both Ray Anderson’s unwavering support of Herm Edwards, and even Dr. Michael Crow saying publicly in a radio interview that Herm Edwards was not involved in the violations (we can only assume that Ray Anderson or his staff did not fully vet Dr. Crow on the totality of the situation and sheer amount of evidence that was given to the NCAA). It is reported that according to two people with direct knowledge that Herm Edwards visited with at least two recruits at a house rented for recruiting purposes in Paradise Valley in July of 2020. One of the recruits travel was paid for by an ASU staff member. Furthermore, it was reported that the NCAA had a picture of Herm Edwards meeting with a recruit in ASU’s weight room during the period when such encounters were not allowed.
